Volunteer Asian Games 2018 Journey (Malang-Jakarta)

Unforgetable experience

On May , 2018 I got a very hectic situation because of volunteer Asian Games 2018. It Happen Because i registered to be one of volunteer on february,2018. Suddenly, At the beggining of May I received an email and text message to have an psycotest in Jakarta. My Postition at that time is still at Malang because I Studied at Islamic State University Maliki Malang, and i still have lecture regularly and also i stayed at dormitory so quite hard for me to get a permission. I Felt so confused and depresed at that time. I didn't know how could i went to Jakarta Because i never went to there lonely and i didn't know how could i got permission from dormitory and my lecture. But i were trying so hard at that time to go because i really wanted to be a volunteer of Asian Games 2018.

So then, i asked my parents about this, and thanks God!!! My Parents Supported me to go and sent me money. so then After 2 days the anouncement of psycotest I reservated a train to Jakarta and prepared my permission well so if i came back to Malang i did not get any problem.

I went to Jakarta on Thursday at May, 03th 2018. and it took 16 hours trip. i arrived in Jakarta after 1 day trip that exactly on friday morning. The long ,tired,bored but reckless trip ever in my life because i were lonely and that is my first time to go to Jakarta. After Arrived in Jakarta, I were very very afraid and felt confuse after arrived at Pasar Senen Station. But, Fortunately i have a friend from my senior high school from Batam that studied at Jakarta so i decided to stay in her home. and i got problem because of the grab could not find me because i did not know where i am. but after waited for long time i found my grab driver. i felt lucky for nowdays we have a grab or gojek so we just type the address and the driver will pick us up and drive for us to that address, i really did not know how it can be if we did not have these amazing application.

Finally, i arrived at my friend's house and took a rest for having a psycotest tomorrow ,which is on saturday morning. yeah , so then i done my psycotest with the best i can., the psycotest took a full day so i did not have any time for having travelling and be a tourist. I Might be back again to Malang on sunday and arrived at Malang on very early morning which is on 02.00 a.m. and in the morning i did my activity like usual.

Actually, INASGOC which is the committee of 18th Asian Games 2018 did not think about volunteer from another city. After 2 days i arrived in Malang from Jakarta for having the psycotest. I received a sudden email again to have an training at Jakarta. But that was the risk if someone wanted to be volunteer. volunteer must fight all the obstacle. And finally every weekend of May actually 3 Times, i went to Jakarta and might be in Malang again in Monday morning because i still have lecture and obligation for my study. But fortunately, my parent very supported me so i were not feeling very desperate. So that's why i were very very hectic on may. but, for all my struggle for going back Jakarta Malang, I am felt very lucky could join the 18th Asian Games as a Volunteer and be the part of history.
